Susan Cohen‐Dickler and Jan Dickler are Co‐Founders and Executive Producers of Banyan Productions, one of the country’s pioneer producers of reality television. Banyan has produced over 5,000 episodes of reality programming including leading programs in the genre like A Wedding Story, Ambush Makeover and Trading Spaces

As business partners for 20 years Susan & Jan have documented the life‐changing experiences of thousands of real people in the reality shows they produce. As partners in marriage they have 30 years worth of personal life lessons to share. Susan and Jan have produced the life they want: a beautiful family, a long and successful business association, and a lifestyle that allows them to share their lives and their passions. 

 

Susan Cohen‐Dickler - As Chairman of Banyan Productions, Susan serves as Co-Executive Producer for all Banyan Programming.  Clients include Discovery, TLC, Lifetime, Nick at Nite, PBS, Fox Television, Oxygen, and many others. She considers it a great privilege to chronicle the real life stories of thousands of people at times of great change in their lives. Susan has received numerous awards for her work including 2 Prime Time Emmy nominations, 6 Mid‐Atlantic Emmys, a national Daytime Emmy, a national Gabriel Award, and A Women In Communications Commendation.  Susan is also an adjunct professor and guest lecturer at Temple University and Drexel University. Susan has a degree from Oberlin College in English Literature and Communications Studies. 

Jan Dickler - Jan began his successful broadcast career at the age of 18 as a Production Assistant on the syndicated morning show Dialing for Dollars. “My job was cutting up phone books to find contestants for the ‘count and the amount,’ getting coffee for guests and doing the audience warm‐up every day for the live show.” Thirty years later, Jan is the Managing Partner of Banyan Productions, honored by the Philadelphia Business Journal as one of Philadelphia’s top companies.   He served as a past president of the Mid‐Atlantic Region of National Academy of Television Arts and Sciences. He has been honored as a leading alumnus of Temple University’s prestigious School of Communication and Theater. He is a keynote speaker as well as a frequent guest lecturer at colleges and universities.
